Sage Oil Vac Named Jim Henson 2007 Small Business of the Year

In September 2007, the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce named Sage Oil Vac co-winner of the Jim Henson 2007 Small Business of the Year Award. Ten other small businesses were honored as Top Small Business Award Winners. 

Since moving from Dalhart, TX to Amarillo in 2002, Sage Oil Vac has continued to grow and enter new markets by diversifying our product lines.  While originally an Agriculture-based company, Sage Oil Vac has expanded into the Oil & Gas, Military, Construction, Wind Energy and Mobile Oil Change Providers industries.  Initial Oil Vac systems had only two tanks for new and used fluids; today, many configurations and tank sizes are available.  When Helen and Gary Sage moved the company to Amarillo, they offered five standard systems.  Today, Sage Oil Vac offers 26 standard systems for all operation sizes, and custom systems account for 30% of sales.  The company has grown from seven employees in 2002 to 25 employees in 2008.
