Sage Mfg. Launches as Parent Company for Growing Portfolio of Manufacturing Brands

In 2026, Sage Mfg. launched as the parent company for Sage Oil Vac, Amarillo Tanks and the newly created Amarillo Upfitters. The change creates a unified organization focused on building innovative products that improve how work gets done across North America.
The launch reflects the company’s continued growth from a single-product manufacturer into a diversified portfolio of businesses serving customers in construction, agriculture, mining, transportation, energy and industrial markets. It also coincides with a significant investment in the company’s future. Sage Mfg. recently opened a new 20-acre headquarters and manufacturing campus in Amarillo, Texas, representing an estimated $21 million investment in facilities and infrastructure.
“Sage Mfg. represents the next step in our evolution. We’ve grown beyond the single company my father founded, now becoming a family of businesses that share a common purpose: helping hardworking people do their jobs more efficiently, more safely and more profitably.” – Aaron Sage, CEO of Sage Mfg. and second-generation owner
Founded in 1993 by Gary Sage, Sage Oil Vac has become a leading manufacturer of mobile lube equipment and preventive maintenance solutions used by fleets and heavy equipment operators throughout the world. Known for pioneering cleaner, safer, faster and more efficient fluid exchange systems, Sage Oil Vac continues to set the standard for equipment maintenance innovation.
Amarillo Tanks, acquired by Sage Oil Vac as Willborn Brothers in 2021, manufactures steel tanks and related products for commercial, industrial and energy applications. The company expanded Sage Mfg.’s manufacturing capabilities while strengthening vertical integration across the organization.
Amarillo Upfitters launched to build custom work-ready service trucks around the people who use them. Created to meet growing demand for smarter, safer and more application-specific service vehicles, Amarillo Upfitters is a new vocational truck upfitting company built for contractors, municipalities, utilities and fleet operators whose work depends on trucks that perform in the field from day one. It fills a gap in a fragmented market often served by generalist shops and template-driven builds, bringing engineering precision, technician-first design and hands-on craftsmanship together to create custom service trucks that reduce downtime, improve productivity and solve the operational challenges standard equipment cannot.
While each of the three companies will continue operating under its own brand, Sage Mfg. will provide strategic leadership, operational support and long-term investment across the portfolio. Its new brand tagline, Manufacturing Better Ways to Get Work Done, carries forward a heritage of innovation.
“Our goal is to build great companies that solve real-world problems,” Sage said. “Whether we’re developing maintenance equipment, manufacturing tanks or delivering custom upfitting solutions, we’re focused on building the companies that build what’s next.”
